Cambridge Early Years

Every child’s learning journey begins with curiosity, wonder, and boundless potential. For 3-6-year-olds, education is not just about acquiring skills — it’s about discovering the world.

Cambridge Early Years is a child-centered, play-based curriculum designed to nurture thinking, expression, and confidence. It is currently used across 160 countries. The Cambridge Early Years curriculum is a foundation programme for the broader development of young learners.

CuriousEd’s teaching-learning resources align with Cambridge Early Years and help teachers take the learners on a journey of discovery with joyful learning, building a strong foundation for lifelong curiosity and learning. Through a mix of guided and free play, children explore meaningful, real-world themes. CEY curriculum paired with CuriousEd resources makes school joyful for our young learners – whether it is sorting shapes, acting out stories, or asking questions!

Subjects

Our Theme-Based Curriculum Connects Multiple Subjects and Interactive Activities that Nurture Creativity, Expression, and Wellbeing. Paired with the essential knowledge and skills that the learners need to acquire for their age, the monthly themes help revisit all the learned concepts spirally at school and at home.

CuriousEd offers the following subjects as prescribed for Early Years:

Learning Phonics with the Cambridge Curriculum

Starting with identifying sounds, learners get to develop their understanding and usage of the English language through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our reading programme aligns with phonics, developing strong reading skills, and providing a bridge to the Cambridge Primary Years programme. This forms a strong language foundation for bilingual learners.

Language Arts in Early Childhood Learning

Storytelling, role-plays, and peer discussions help children express what they think and feel in ways that words cannot. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are strengthened through fun activities and engaging texts. This helps in shaping their communication and literacy skills.

Pre-Mathematics Activities for Preschoolers

Numbers, sizes, patterns, and shapes are explored through hands-on activities. Through a range of activities around these concepts, learners are encouraged to observe their surroundings and build mathematical language and thinking. This sets the foundation of working with numbers as they slowly transition to formal learning in primary school learning.

Cambridge Learning - Knowledge & Understanding the World

Children get to know about themselves and explore the world around them through this area of the CEY curriculum. It nurtures their natural curiosity and lays the foundations for multiple subjects in primary education and beyond, such as science, digital literacy, computing, and humanities.

Social-Emotional Learning

CuriousEd offers reflective Circle Time plans for the overall well-being of learners. Through structured circle time, children learn to speak, listen actively, and join conversations. They reflect on their own experiences and understand the perspectives of others, thus building strong emotional intelligence during their early years of education. The focus on social-emotional learning boosts the confidence of the learners and develops high self-esteem in them, complementing their academic learning.
